If you’re looking for the strongest axles on the planet for your Can-Am Maverick X3 and money is not a concern, then there’s no need to look any further than this axle. RCV makes axles for both the 64″ and 72″ wide X3.
The Pro Series II is designed for everything imaginable from trail riding to desert racing. The Pro Series II features a sealed outboard CV with their signature orange accordion style boot made from high strength materials Testing has shown that the Pro Series II axles to be two times stronger than the OEM shafts. The axle shaft is constructed of 300M steel with 33 splines. 300M is a high strength steel that allows a high degree of torsional twist that allows the axle to have a much higher yield strength before breaking. The CVs feature a 4340 chromoly body and 300M internals for the strongest axle on the market today and designed for extreme racing conditions and the toughest terrains. SuperATV Rhino X300
These are the strongest “budget” axles on the market that you can buy for under $2000 for all four corners. While not cheap, SuperATV introduced the Rhino X300 as a somewhat affordable entry for your Can-Am X3 in the high performance 300M market. Options are available for both the 64″ and 72″ wide Maverick.
X300 is about more than brute strength, it’s about flex. When X300 gets hit with a torque load that would break other axles, the 300M shaft twists until the load is gone then returns to its original position. A shaft that can flex without breaking takes the load off your CVs and drivetrain. The shaft can give so your drivetrain doesn’t have to.

While these axles are still significantly stronger than stock, if you’re line of thinking is that if one thing is unbreakable, that just means that something else is going to break, then these axles are just the ticket. Not only is the metal stronger, SuperATV also makes the axles larger, adding 4mm in diameter for an even stronger axle. The result is a heavy-duty axle that can handle 40°+ axle angles without binding or overheating and can handle massive torque without breaking. SuperATV offers the Rhino 2.0 for 72″ wide X3s, along with the narrow 64″ trail version.
The Rhino 2.0 uses a high-strength 4340 chromoly steel that is then heat treated to SuperATVs specifications. This balanced combination of design and technology gives Rhino the impressive ability to absorb energy without breaking. Another important property of 4340 is its high twist yield. Though it doesn’t have the tosion rotation of 300M, it is significantly stronger than OEM 1541 steel.
