Nearly 400 teams are on hand to race at this weekend’s UTV World Championship in Laughlin, NV. Multiple classes of UTVs with some of the best drivers in the country compete over the course of the weekend to test their machines against the course and the competition.
Entering its fifth year, the UTV World Championship has grown to become one of the premier UTV races and events in the country, attracting both top drivers and top industry players.
Polaris is coming out big in support of the series by becoming the title sponsor and offering a prize of three new Polaris RzRs to race winners. BFGoodrich tires look to continue to dominate this season and will be offering free pit support for any teams running their tires, along with offering on site tire mounting and service.
Action kicks off today at 12:30 PST for the youth 170cc class, followed by 250cc at 1:15 PM on the short infield course. The 570 youth class takes center stage at 2:15 PM with a five lap seven mile race.
Rally and Sportsman classes start on Saturday at 6 AM with a six lap 17 mile loop race. The naturally aspirated, unlimited and RS1 class raises the stakes at 12:30 PM with a 10 lap, 17 mile course and finally the turbo class ends the day running the same 17 mile loop for 10 laps. With a 13 vehicle in a row land rush start, expect there to be tons of action.
Finally on Sunday, the weekend of racing ends with a series of short course races. At 6:30 AM, 700, 800, 900 and 1000 class rigs will line up for a 10 lap seven mile loop. The turbo UTVs will take on the same short course at 8:30 AM.
